“Northgate Barber Shop, to me, is worth the hour drive from the Brenham area. Sure, I try to couple it with trips for other things but I'll make the trip just for a haircut if need be. Their people listen and cut my hair the way I want it. I've seen a lot of different customers, young and old, getting a variety of different styles there. The shop's people are genuinely personable (no rehearsed lines), and no gimmicks or pushy sales of "extras." Cost is reasonable. The place isn't fancy; it's more the old-style barber shop atmosphere.
